School Reviews

From my experiences, Irvington has always been a welcoming place to all. The students are typical and behave as to be expected, and there never are serious incidents regarding students misbehaving. Since the school is small, the grade is close-knit and friendly towards each other. Most students accel in their classes and complete all the school work. Overall there isn't a tremendous amount of work the teachers assign. The teachers are kind and it's easy to make friends. Although there are some things that can be changed or renovated, such as the lunch, Irvington School is perfect if you are considering putting your child in it.

My time at this school was some worst in all of my school experience (I am now in high school in a different state). I was bullied and harassed, in some cases physically, and my family was forced to move because the faculty was completely unresponsive. I am gifted, but I was given no support, which caused me to act out, and in many cases I was called out or ridiculed for being intelligent by my teachers. I developed behavioral problems and struggled in my new school. If you are considering sending your children to Dows Lane, I STRONGLY advise against it.
